Pencil Shaving Portraits

Designer and Illustrator Kyle Bean displays a high degree of imagination by producing art and concepts from a variety of different products.  We have chosen 2 of them, the main one being the Pencil Shaving Portraits and the other one, the lion he constructed out of shredded hotel expense receipts.  We are given precise instructions, by the art critics, as to what constitutes good and $ valuable art, and this work, would just be looked as a play thing, with no merit, where a small dot in a huge canvas, we are told, is of more intellectual value.  What do you think?
