Clever French Director and Animator Alexandre Dubosc, adapts the principle of the Zoetrope to animate his cake.  The Zoetrope is thought to have been invented around 100 BC, it consists of a cylinder that has vertical slits around its circumference.  It contains within it, a paper card with images in succession, depicting moving images.  If you then spin the Zoetrope and look through the slits, to the cards inside, they look like they are in motion.  Think of how a GIF animation is made. We have added a video, GIF animations and Images for you to see, just how cool and deliciously looking this animation is.
