Artist Sarah Harvey has been creating these self portraits for many years, the cunning aspect of choosing this medium, water, is that it is always different. There might be changes in light, which means that it will reflect and refract differently. The ripples caused by the body moving, will distort and misshapen the figure. All these factor make sure that the finish painting, although of the same person, will be unique, one of a kind. I have picked new and old paintings that symbolise a change in Harvey's approach to them and a change in the in the person behind the art.
