Trimming our lifestyles, but not our needs, in a smaller but comfortable home.
Joshua and Shelley Engberg have a passion for camping and the outdoors, so scaling down wasn't much of a shock for them, as it would be for others. They say that when they went camping, they are used to relying only on essentials. This tiny house is not that small, it allows for some creature comforts, that said, everything you have, must be something you need and use on a regular basis. A lot of us buy and pack into our homes, so many things we have no use for, 10 minutes after we bought them. This way of living embraces architecture and efficient design, plus really focuses the mind on the question, what is really essential in our life? There is a very important distinction to be made here, they are not doing without, they are avoiding accumulating clutter.
