Brenda Kelly really wanted a container home since she was 13. Now she has achieved that dream by buying a 20 foot container from builders; IQ Container Homes. At first, the outside might leaves you a bit perplexed, it did me, why sacrifice part of the precious structure to have a covered porch? This is the answer: Kelly had to keep the liveable area down to 107f² or (10m²), to comply with the building regulations set in that area of Auckland, New Zealand. As you will be able to see from the video below, the compact home, has everything you need in it. It is off grid relying on a photovoltaic systems and rainwater harvesting. The following is how the builders describe their finish product: "in many cases exceed building code requirements ensuring you are getting a structurally sound, watertight, warm, energy efficient home that will last for many years + they are earthquake, hurricane and fire resistant." Strong points to consider this as a building structure. They are like legos you can put as many as you want together, to make your structure.
