This is how artist Zahraa AlQallaf describes is work: "I create art to escape from reality". Escapism, is something that I think we are all familiar with, it's a good thing in small doses, but not so much, in large ones. It's great to take a holiday, to then come back re-energised to make your daily life work. Concentrating hard on something, like art for example, makes everything else dissolve away, ready for your refreshed mind to tackle it, when it comes back. Plenty of realistic drawings below, with different levels of detailing, all beautiful in their own ways.
