Pencil sketch drawing of nine women and one man.
Artist and Teacher Matt Smith drew all of the likenesses you see on this page.
Likenesses full of emotions and subtle expressions pepper this page.
Amongst them are the depictions of a celebrity. That is actress and singer Zendaya. As you can see, the likeness is a very close one. There is no doubt you are looking at her when you see this image.
I find it useful to have celebrities, even only one in the post. This is a person many people are likely to know and it helps give you an idea of the skill of the artist we are featuring.
Now to the drawings that stand out for me. The first is also the first drawing down. I love those oversized glasses. A detail that doesn't usually make its way into portraits. The shadows of the frame help sell the realism of the picture.
Then is the turn of the lovely, serene, contented look of image number six. If you look at it, I am sure you will see exactly what I mean.
Finally, that wonderful and subtle smile of the tenth picture. The eyes being closed, suggests that the image that is bringing on that smile is projected in her mind.
As well as finding the drawings I briefly described above, there are more for you to make your acquaintance with. Have fun discovering them...
Ps. I gave the images some titles.
