Inktober is a challenge that invites artists from around the world to produce an ink drawing every day of the month of October. Every day has a different prompt that the artists have to use as inspiration for their drawing.

I know we are nowhere near October, but the beauty of these pieces is that they are good enough to stand on their own. The art is interesting enough to be shown at any time of the year. That is what I think anyway.

I love the look of this little creature and it's a fantastic idea to use it as a guide to introduce to us the graphical interpretation of the worded prompt. A kind of translation. Instead of it being between different languages, it occurs between a word and an image.

The other aspect that attracts my attention is the clean and precise attention to detail. Every stroke is perfectly executed. From the calligraphy to the characters, every line is perfectly and methodically exact. Lastly, is the imagination necessary to carry us from the prompt to Isabel's choice of image.

A quick couple of mentions: I would put forward the ancient drawing, the frail and the build. There are so many layers to appreciate in these and all the other drawings in this post. Enjoy this fantastic style and discovery of their meaning.
