Surreal Lives in Ink Drawings

Gel pens and markers, to depict a word of beautifully strange wonders.

Felicia Chiao works as an industrial designer at IDEO. The illustrations below, are something she does in her spare time.

Chiao explains how she never expected for them to become so popular. She doesn't spends a long time thinking about them before drawing. They are more of a subconscious expression of her mind, to deal with whatever is going on at the time.

Moistly based in a land of fantasy and surrealism, these illustrations speak to for a deeper part of the artist. One which will hopefully connect with each one of us as the viewers.

From what I hear, this is already the case. Many people see a story in the art, which they can follow and enjoy.
