Deep colours, in zentangle drawings.
The wonderful shapes on this page, are the work of artist Ching Weng.
The original square shape of the card on which they are drawn, has been mutated to triangles and circles, by artists like Weng. Colour has also been added, as the original rules for this style, only allow for black and white.
If you check the zentangle link above, you will find plenty more examples of this style on our site. Many or most of them, come with the definition of this form of art.
Precious stones are a glad addition to many of the newer drawings. Finding non rounded one, like in the first drawing below, is a rarity and a lovely expansion to the design library.
The glass looking, blue and green hearts are another one of my favourites. The depth of colours and detailing are what win it for me. The glass hearts and shapes in drawing five, are another exquisite example of how to work together: Shapes, colours, shadows and reflections.
Ps. I gave the images some titles.
