Architectural drawings of buildings. They are all drawn in ink and sport black and white colours.
AnnA drew all of the urban and country scenes you see below.
As well as architecture, the theme or aspect that link all of the art in this post is the presence of the lovely white fluffy clouds.
Every sketch has a set that enhances the view of each and every scene.
Next to each cloud there is another detail, striations representing the sky. The lines frame, even if in part, are present in each picture. In AnnA's work, your attention goes immediately to the beautiful buildings. Once you have spent a little time going through them, you notice how subtly curated all of the images are. There are unspoken rules that link them. They don't make them look the same, but enough to subconsciously feel a pattern bringing them together.
Now to my favourites. Let's start with drawing number two. This is the building constructed on rocks and overlooking a lake in Italy. The views must be gorgeous. Can you imagine it being the last sight before you go to sleep and the first one as you wake up in the morning?
Next is the bridge in Richmond, England. A boat resting on the bank of the river and the sign advertising boats for hire. I can see myself there rowing on a warm summer's day...
The last one I will mention in this post is the fantasy-looking cottage Aelcabane. If you scroll down to picture six, you will see a building just perfect for any fairy tale you might dream of.
So many more homes to see and appreciate. Make a move down the page now, as the day is still bright and you will get to notice more of the details...
