Charcoal Portrait Drawing on Paper

A lovely collection of charcoal drawings on paper.

Iulian Cetanas drew all of the likenesses on this page.

There are plenty of emotions conveyed through expressions.  In particular, I like the drawings of people that appear more than once but with very different looks.  Like drawings 1 and 5 and 8 and 9.

In these two sets you can see the people in different poses and with different expressions.  There is so much to notice, including the consistency of the artist's work.

Plus, I think that drawing number 7 is a self-portrait of the artist.

Finally, there is a step-by-step tutorial on how to draw an eye and its surroundings.  It starts from a simple and easy to follow line drawing.  The rest should be OK to work through too, but the step from 3 to 4 is where all of the detailing really comes together.  I think this last one is the more difficult one.
