Simple but very inventive idea and a step up from the normal window box. This project, Volet Végétal, is the brainchild of
Barreau & Charbonnet, whom constructed this Window Greengrocer for a Parisian design contest called Jardin Jardin. This window box is for people that don't have a garden or a balcony to grow herbs and small plants, makes use of the entire window height. When the boxes are lowered they automatically pivot to maintain their horizontal position. You can raise the structure for maintenance or to collect your mini crop. Video and images included in the article. Make sure you fix it properly and use strong materials if you try this.
