You know how they say that "Nature finds a way"?  I think, that the same is true for art.

Embroidered Anatomy exposing Internal Physiology

Chilean Visual Artist Juana Gómez, brings human Internal Physiology to light with these anatomical representations.  She achieves this result by printing a photo on canvas and retouching or adding to it with drawings, over which she embroiders the particular anatomical detail.  Gómez explains it best "These embroideries are based on the repetition of a structure governing the organic and inorganic world" an example of each is the Tree and the course of rivers and its tributaries, even new technology is making use of nervous system paths and connections to design processors for computers of the future.

Glass Knitted Sculptures

Qualifying as a Landscape Architect Carol Milne then found a love and passion for glass work.  As you will see in the video below, she has been knitting from the age of ten and one day while she was sitting, she asked herself if she could translate the form and the loops created when knitting with glass and this is how the sculptures started. As well as the video there are a lot of different variations of her designs.

Fantasy Architecture in Plaster and Clay Town

Slovakian Surrealist Painter and Sculptor Katarina Pridavkova has created this Fantasy Architectural Street view.  Her main focus is on the quirky buildings, the graffiti that really exist and the reference details, some of which are shown at the end of the post.  Below is a GIF animation showing a bit of the construction process, further on, detailed views of the various homes.  The buildings are fist sketched then a plaster layer is poured, ceramic clay is applied and painted with acrylic paint, finally detailed with ceramic clay.  Have your mind walk through Pridavkova's fantastical mini town and enjoy the stroll.

Painting and Pottery with a Fish Theme

Indian Artist Niharika Hukku, now living and working in Australia, has a love for panting and pottery, which she successfully manages to combine in her work.  Amongst her pieces, we have chosen to feature her fish designs, where she really captures the grace of motion with the which they move.  The fluidity of movement of these paintings can really be appreciate when Hukku puts several pieces of pottery next to each other, where they look like freeze frames, moving from one pot to the next.

Clay Sculptures replicating objects from Daily Life

Polish Artist Victor Spinski (1940 - 2013) was mostly famous for his clay sculptures.  He wanted to stretch and diversify its use, in ways it hadn't been done before.  Spinski was a very unusual character with a funny and mischievous side, which spilled over into his work.  He is said to have put one of his trash can sculptures out with the rest of the rubbish, hiding behind a bush he then saw the struggle the collector went through trying to empty it and his surprise when he accidentally smashed it.  It is amazing, how many things are perceived by us in a certain way but, when we pay more attention and we investigate more carefully, they turn out to be very different from our fist impression...

Surreal Black and White Porcelain Sculptures

British Artist and Sculptor Katharine Morling creates these fantastically Surreal Ceramic sculptures that look like Black and White 3D drawings.  Her sculptures come in all different sizes from miniatures to life size.  We are not going to go through her history, as she does that her self in her video, with advise on how to make money and what to prioritise as an artist.  The advise is very practical and comes from an artist that has had to work for her success.  Once in the article you can enlarge the image by pressing it (not the first one).  Which is your favourite piece?  Let us know at the bottom of the article in the comment section.

Pottery Design Masterclass

You must see this...  If you are in the mood for 15½ minute of mesmerising pattern beauty, this is  for you.  The video in the Article depicts the dexterity with which Михаил Садовников (Mikhail Sadovnikov) produces one pattern drawing after the other.  We have tried to find the website for this artist but have not been able to do so.  If you do find it can you please let us know in the comments at the end of the article section or in the "Submit Interesting Stuff to DesignStack" section in the top right hand portion of the page.  The images can be enlarged by pressing them (but not the first one).

Embroidery Paintings

With a background in Painting, Talented American Artist Cayce Zavaglia decided to change her medium to Embroidery, whilst still giving the impression that the portraits are painted.  She works from home and regards the finish Portrait as important as the choice of the model.  Have a look at the details, @CayceZavaglia is able to put in her work, with the injections of shadows and the reflection in the Glasses / Spectacles.  The other thing that needs mentioning, is the fantastic expressions she is able to infuse in these portraits. Ceramic Horror

Ceramics is a very precise and technical craft, a small variation in the technique makes the difference between success and failure.  French and Canadian Artist Laurent Craste believes that is because of these constraints that artist remain very conservative and overly respectful of past tradition, stifling inspiration and creativity.  Craste has named this body of work "Ceramic Horror Abuse".  Don't look at it as destructive but an invitation to look at things in a different way.  Craste has an impressive academic background, Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Master in Physiology and Anatomy, Degree in ceramics and finally Master in Fine Arts.  For more of her work please refer to her site.

Very nice and different type of art installations.  Using Ceramic, resin, plaster, transfer-print, Livia Marin gives the impression that the ceramic object have melted.

Ceramic of Death

"Delft Porcelain" this is what this collections is called. The British Artist Magnus Gjoen wants us to see things in a different way, by making an artistic creation out of subjects, usually associated with harm and death.  The porcelain pieces are fragile and beautiful, which is meant to contrast with the way we view the original real counterparts.
