Christina Lihan originally started her career in Architecture, she then moved to sculpting, transferring her eye for details and proportions to construct these 3D buildings, out of Paper, that can be 2 to 6 inches deep. The work starts with sketches taken from photographs or memory, then the cutting takes place. This is a quote from Lihan "I don't construct any pieces with a measured perspective, I just eyeball everything" (she makes it clear, that this is in deep contrast to how she used to conduct her work as an architect).
