Surreal Absurdist Paintings

As you may have guessed we have a soft spot on DesignStack.co for Surreal Art, Russian born Artist Michael Cheval refers to his, as Absurdist Paintings. Like the best in this kind of art, he has the paintings skill to produce the work but also the imagination to make it say things, you don't immediately see, when you fist look at the painting.  Whilst listening to his interview (video in the main article) one thing becomes very clear, that the same way a book becomes alive when we read the words, his paintings are brought into existence when people look at them in detail and start picking up, all the subtle details the artist has inserted in them, including the title of the piece.  Once in the article you can enlarge the image by pressing it (not the first one).  Enjoy...
