In this post we will be looking at 2 Micro Homes or Habitations created by Full Moon Tiny Shelters. The Birdhouse built on an (8ft - 2.4m) by (16ft - 4.8m) trailer and the Harmony House built on an (8ft - 2.4m) by (20ft - 6m) trailer. These buildings are becoming a necessity now, for some people that see the cost of homes and the price of land, as out of their reach. There is a lot of thought that goes behind their design and construction, we will go through it further in the post. The prices are not fixed as these homes are very customisable, this aspect can bring up or down the final bill, the company averages the cost at 1 square foot = $250 to $300 or 1 square meter = $22.50 to $27. The video in the post will show you a clear walk through both constructions.
This new type of dwelling is being very well publicised at the moment, we have a few examples on our "Architecture Micro" on the left of out screen, but what most don't explain as well as Full Moon Tiny Shelters do, is that these dwellings are not considered by the law as permanent homes, but as guest rooms, vacation residences, extra spaces, studios and offices. That said people out there are buying or building them, for very different uses. Some are using them on their properties for their children, that don't have enough money to buy or rent their own home. This mobile dwelling, gives them a taste of independence and a chance to save up money to, eventually, put a deposit on something more conventional.

They are built on a trailer because, in most countries that fact that they have wheels, are of a certain size and are mobile means that they are not subject to planning permission rules and consents. The height of the House insures that it complies with the transport restrictions on the highway maximum allowable width of 8'6" - 2.6m and the maximum height of 13'5" - 4m.
Some people love these buildings unreservedly and some don't like the direction they are taking us. What do you think? Let us know below in the comment section
