Kristie Wolfe defines herself , amongst most things, as a I'm a Tiny House Builder and a Dress Maker. Wolfe originally started with a mobile tiny home, then saw this plot of land for sale in Hawaii for $8,000 on craigslist, which she bought unseen and built this 230ft² 21m² house with her mother over the space of 2 months, working from early morning to night. A further $4,000 was spent for flights truck rental and food for the 2 months. The house is self sufficient and off the grid. It produces electricity from solar panels to power LED lights, laptop and charging the phone. Wolfe collects rain water that is purified and used for drinking and washing, a propane heater to heat up the water. The video below, is 23 minutes long and for some, might feel like an eternity but, it is very well edited with a lot of information and a walk-through all of the features of this home, with a description of the method of construction showing, amongst everything else, how to use items in a way they were not designed for.
