Ben Durham creates these fascinating Portraits using words. Yes they are descriptions, stories, of people that he went to school with and that have broken the law in some way or the other. In the picture he recounts everything he can remember of them. Once a week he searches the online arrests mug shots and arrest records, that can vary from unpaid parking tickets to assault and rape. In his drawings, Durham has to create dark and light shading, which impacts the quality of the writing, that is why we have included simpler drawings and the more defined ones (created on handmade paper).
