There is a lot that goes into Inktober. It's about a clever and a novel way of interpreting the prompt. The next step is to find a way of communicating the message to the viewer and finally, executing the drawing as best as you can. Any deviation from any one of those items and the piece will suffer as a consequence. For me, the quality of the execution is not as important as the idea and the communication of the piece. If I had to, I would definitely sacrifice execution and it would still be a wonderful piece.
Now to the one I like the most. The one I am fascinated by is the dreamcatcher. The dragon or snake is not complete enough to be considered an Ouroboros and yet, the web seems to be extending towards the missing part of the animal. The possible recoiling also seems to have given one of the butterflies a chance to escape. A butterfly or a bad dream? A great piece, for me, is one that is pleasing to the eyes and mind. The mind part comes with the inclusion of interesting questions that this drawing definitely raises.
