These Digital Animations hold a space between a Painting and a Video, that begin to tell a story...
Leland Foster is a Graphic Designer who lives in New York. I was really impressed with his work, his images are not set-up to be photo realistic, giving them, the qualities of a painting and not a photograph. At the same time, the motion of parts of the painting, push it towards a video, a representation of real life, of a recording of something that is being captured as it happens. Holding these two contrasting positions whilst looking at the same image, makes your brain is continually readjust position, to understand what it's looking at, real life trough a video, or a static painting on a canvas?
