This artist uses paper to construct beautifully flowing shapes, that really give a sense of motion.
Matt Shlian defines himself as a paper engineer. He works with the paper one fold at the time and allows the process to guide him and to inspire him, to get him to the finish piece. Following are some words from Shlian: "I use my engineering skills to create kinetic sculpture which have led to collaborations with scientists at University of Michigan."
