Hiding in a Safe Architectural Labyrinth Drawing

An artist that builds elaborate construction drawings on paper.
Canadian Illustrator Matt Borrett, has a lovely story, so instead of paraphrasing it and risking spoiling it, here it is: "I was born in 1972 and grew up in rural Ontario. I was fortunate to have a big ancient barn to play in. Despite an acute allergy to hay, I would build elaborate hay forts. There were woods and beaver ponds nearby to explore. During those weeks of the summer when too much pollen was about, I'd retreat to my room where I would draw, build elaborate things out of lego, and make primitive computer graphics on my Commodore 64. If I really liked something I'd built out of lego, I would draw instructions on graph paper for how to build it again." I really like his ink and pencil drawings, with the varied interpretations that any viewer might have when looking at them.  Are they places to hide yourself?  To hide something you care about?  To keep something or somebody locked away?  A quiet place to relax, to turn down the volume of the world? I am sure there are plenty more views, of these intriguing and very well drawn illustrations.  Have a look and see what yours is.
