Drawings with an amazing minimalist appearance, that look like they were sketched with rays of light.
Artist Zulf uses white charcoal and pastel pencils to give this astonishing effect. If you could use photons to produce portraits, this is what I would expect them to look like. Impressive technique that allows for a limited amount, but beautifully detailed features of the face and head. The drawings get darker as you go down the page, as if the light is gradually turning off. Trying to express the mesmerising effect, these drawings have on me into words, can't begin to match it. So I will let you get to the images and hope you enjoy them as I did.

I am stunned at the simplicity of the 2-3 shades of pencil used.
ReplyDeleteThey are like seeing a reflection in a window. Some of the image is seen in great detail, while the rest is muted.
I really like these drawings as well, they are amazing. Minimalist in their execution, using dark and light tones to do most of the work. 🌿️🌺️🌿️
