Zentangle Drawings in Different Designs

Zentangle, a form of art that has expanded beyond its creator's imagination.
The classic zentangle drawing looks like the one on top, on the right. Artists like hello_zenart have taken that original concept and have added a number of variations.

A very popular application of the zentangle patterns is on animals; if you check out this LINK you will see exactly what I am talking about. Zentangles have also been meshed with doodles to make Zendoodles. These are just some examples of the numerous adaptations of this style of drawing.

What follows is a definition of it. Whilst the original rules are still followed by some, you can really see how much further it has come from its inception:

Zentangles are achieved by repeating pre-defined patterns, to accomplish an overall design. That said, you can create new ones if you so wish, as long as you floow the rules. The original Zentangle drawings, were always created on 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) square tiles; with a view that tiles could then form a larger pattern. The classic drawings are drawn in Black and White.
