Textured Portrait Drawings and Paintings

Drawings and paintings, with a very distinctive style.

Maria Slavnikova not only created these amazing portraits, but also video tutorials to show how you can achieve them.

Drawings with a watercolor layer: it does not give them a realistic look but a lovely textured one. Subtle colors choices, some of which you don't see in skin tones, but give the portrait an intensity that seamlessly interlocks with the expressions.

Like adding the perfect background music for a movie; it really helps elevate the scene to another level. You know it's good, because you don't even notice playing; but if you removed it, the scene would just lack that perfect feel about it.
