Graphite and Charcoal Drawings

00-Portrait-Drawings-John-Fenerov-www-designstack-coGraphite and charcoal drawing portraits, adorn the walls of this post.
John Fenerov has a strong and expressive style; his portraits don't come across as some of the other we usually feature. The looks and expressions are sombre; it may be a hint of a hard life, or at the very least, a day that is not turning out as you had hoped for at first.

The emotions painted on their faces, seem the ones stolen without the model's knowledge. A private moment of reflection that the artist witnessed and captured in these likenesses.

A very thin slice of the cake that is our life. This section has no frosting on it. Not as sweet as the rest, without making it uneatable or unlivable.

  1. I agree with what you mentioned in synopsis about how he captures something deeper in the expressions. Unlike a lot of artist who somehow have fallen in to just the "pouty lip drawings" (as I call them) , john Fenerov has definitely captured more in his drawings. A capturing of more going on inside than what they want to speak at the moment. Or, making it perfectly clear what they want you to hear with out words.

    1. It's good to find art that pushes you to express in words, the feeling you have for it.

I am glad you found it in this post.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. 🌿️🌺️🌿️
