Finding meaning in graphite and charcoal portrait drawings.
Artist Maryam Sadat |مریم سادات specialises in portraits. Art in general speaks; on average though, I think that portraits have the edge over the rest. This is perfectly illustrated with Sadat's work.
As I have mentioned before: Most of us are hardwired to seek and understand expressions on one another. It tells us more of what the other person is trying to say, above and beyond their words.
Some times, a micro expression, will hint at thoughts we are not ready to share with the other person.
In this post you get to hone in that skill.
You will probably find the in depth look at every piece, will help reveal things about it, others around and you. It's an exercise that has good practical advantages in the real world. Try it out, you might understand people just a little better.

Ok, so you know I'm not a 'pouty lipped drawing' fan, but here, finally, in these wonderfully done pieces, real life people with real smiles and all kinds of expressions of life! captured as they are. bravo!!!
