Black and White Realistic Portraits

00-Realistic-Portraits-Kristina-Branisheuskaya-www-designstack-co
Amazing portraits, which sometimes hold both a realistic and sketch finish in WIP.

Artist Kristina Branisheuskaya brings us another selection of photo like drawings.

The WIPs below, are the only aspect that suspends the perfection and gives us an insight into the process. As you can see the pencil outline in the unfinished parts, we are also getting a glimpse of things to come.

The perfect example is the last drawing. Like the bud of a flower, the smile is just about to blossom in all of its beauty....

Ps. I gave the images some titles.

  1. Though some of the drawings are of the typical pouty lipped women, there is a quality about her drawings that I have to say I have not seen in some other drawings of people. (women) There is a more natural look to them, a bit more realism that is captured unlike other drawings I have seen where the person is trying to make them look 'more sexy" or something and then the actual persons personality gets lost. Where as these still have the essence of the persons personality. I liked the 'hair detail' one, the sweater one and the last one where we will see her smile sometime. I hope Kristina continues to capture the personality of the person and not drift off into puffy lip land like so many other artists have. A portrait should show the personality of a person, not just accentuate one aspect of the persons face. (as so many drawings we see these days w women w puffy, pouty lips all the time. There is more to an alluring woman than just her lips and sultry eyes. If you can capture that in a drawing you have captured life.
