Cross-hatch, an interesting technique that injects a lot of texture and interest into the portrait.
Art and style, full of emotions and beautifully captured expressions. The artist that is to be congratulated for this work is France Van Stone. As well as creating art, Van Stone teaches through videos and live classes.
Self-taught, Van Stone was born in France. She moved to the US where she teaches French at Penn State University. Furthermore, she is an author as her "my book Sketch" was published. With the addition of motherhood, she does it all.
All the hats she wears are varied, with each experience able to inform and help teach other. Many of the lessons and skills are transferable between them, making Van Stone a well-rounded artist that shows in the depth of her work.
