Architectural drawings and paintings of Cairo in Egypt.
Architect and artist Basma Tolba is the person that created these depictions of beautifully aged buildings.
The base of the piece is a drawing that is then coloured, in most cases, with a watercolour and ink wash. This is the true in all but in one case, when acrylic paint is utilised.
All of the buildings are contained in an area referred to as Old Cairo. A post filled with structures with intricate and traditional design. Businesses and homes who's ages span many centuries in some cases. They stand the test of time, to be immortalised by Tolba. She then gives us the chance to appreciate them from wherever we are, around the world.
