Portraits in Pencil and a Touch of Paint

Pencil and watercolor paints tag team to give portraits a different look and feel.

Fanny Monroy is an illustrator based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her works are a mixture of realism, minimalism and sketches.

Predominately black and white pieces give way to color ones, which highlight the beauty of the textures they reside on.

Expressions and emotions are strong in all of them. The one that I see my self gravitating toward the most is the one I called "Sparks of light". It's almost as if someone has left the curtains undrawn and light has entered the room.  It then found the expressive illustration and chose it as a comfortable place to rest on.

Now a chance to see all of this in Monroy's work.
