Italian Artist Giancarlo Sanna specialises in urban views. Many of the drawings on this page are of his native city Cagliari.
There is definitely something which comes across with his drawings. I think it's the passion with which he depicts the scene. The tanned paper, which gives the site such a lovely warmth. Then, there is a black silhouette in each one of the images. Could it be him? Faced with the building/s looking, admiring and studying them before immortalising each one in his pieces?
Powerful sketches with a very distinct style. A sense of, and a feeling which doesn't usually accompany drawings in this genre.
