South Korean Artist Halla Kang creates art in both color plus black and white.
Kang has a great style. The drawing it manifests itself in the most, is the first one. That soft and almost slightly out of focus, showing off the waves and the shine in the hair. The kind of lighting you only see in perfect photography in shampoo ads.
The other one I really like are the women which look like twins facing opposite directions conjoined by their ponytails. The first time I have seen this concept drawn. Lastly a lovely drawing study in the form of Serena Williams.
As far as realism, I lift as an example the three quarter portrait of Hong Tae Jun. He is wearing a neutral and difficult expression to interpret. These and more images await you on this page.
