A vintage historic view of shipbuilding. Ideas carried by movies and books give the viewer or reader, a nostalgic thought of the past.
There are so many different settings at play here, with single and multiple ship layouts.
The sea/ocean plays a strong part in these views. Sometimes calm, while other times thoroughly enraged. Drawing number three is a perfect example of what I am talking about.
There is plenty of detailing to go around in all of the art on this post. The one my eyes paused on the longest though, is the second drawing down. Complex and beautifully managed. The details are readable, even at small scale. A great achievement, when this amount of pencil marks, usually results in a confused and darkened bunch of lines.
A lot to admire and enjoy in Boruta's work. A beautiful window into the past...
