Alvia Alcedo is one of our favourite artists. One we have followed for years now. She drew and painted all of the mythical animals on this page.
Alcedo has a love for fantasy critters in all sorts of sizes and shapes. As you can see below, she uses a mixed media approach to bring them to life. Color pencils, graphite and paints. They come on both white and tan paper.
Lovely expressions and cute poses can't help but make you fall in love with them.
I love the array and the depth of the colors used. The one that epitomises this thought is the 5th drawing down: The Fire dragon creature. It really is outstanding with its ember and black colouring.
Prepare yourself for an avalanche of sweetness in the form of cute dragons and more...
