Color pencils and watercolor paintings of mythical creatures, which mostly include dragons.
Self-taught dragon artist Alvia Alcedo drew all of the beings you see on this page.
Because of the artist's amazing work, you can see in the link below how many posts we have written about her and her work.
These sketches have been drawn on different backgrounds. They seek to give the art the maximum visual effect. Just look at the second drawing down and the low lighting combined with the colour of the background, plus the vivid colours used to depict the dragons.
The drawing I just mentioned is definitely one of my favourites in this post.
There are so many more to come. I will give a quick bullet point description of some of them.
We start with the fantastic colours in the first image. Flakes of gold like paint highlight the creature, thus bringing it to life.
The gorgeous detailing, colour transitions and shading of illustrations three, four and five.
The Yin and Yang poses and colouring of the fire and the ice dragons coming face to face in drawing number six.
The class and silent power of the silver dragoness in drawing seven.
As well as these, there are more left for you to discover.
All the ones I have described have some outstanding features that are specific to that piece of art. Alcedo has found different ways of depicting them, therefore, maintaining that interest level as high as it can get.
If you agree with my observations, you are going to love this post and that is my hope for you.
