Katy Lipscomb drew and painted all of the beings you see on this page.
I say it every time I write a new post about this fantastic artist, but Katy Lipscomb is one of the artists we first featured here on this blog and truly is a favourite of ours.
Just look at the variety and complexity in the creatures she depicts.
I will dive right into the creatures that stand out the most for me.
We commence with the first image and the ceramic dragon. I am not sure if it was in the description on the artist's post, but I think I am right in saying that it's an old Japanese custom to repair ceramic with gold joints. This seems exactly what Lipscomb has recreated in her piece. Of course done in her own way and with dragons.
My second pick is the dragoon cat. I can't begin to guess at the amount of mischief it would get up to with a set of wings. This would be a force to be reckoned with. : )
My final one for this post is image 6. I love the winding patterns of the dragon, as its body moves and bends. Plus, all of the colour changes it assumes as we go from the head to the bottom of the tail.
