Talented multi disciplinary Russian Artist, Salavat Fidai (Салават Фидаи) applies his talents to various forms of art that include: Painting, Photography and Sculpting / Carving.  In today's post we are going to cover the last one, we have put together, static images and videos to show you, just how amazingly precise and delicate his carving movements have to be, to find the finish object in the lead of the pencils he uses.

Self Taught Artist Linda Huber, really captures the expressions of the models she draws, be them human or animal.  The drawings have to be very detailed and especially with portraits, one wrong detail can change completely the finished image, making it look, nothing like the original.  That is why Huber says she spends, on average, a month on each drawing.  She also conducts remote paid classes, where she will teach you everything she knows about pencil drawings.  Even though we have featured quite a few Hyper Realistic artists, they still really amaze us with their realistic accuracy.

Creature Pencil Sculptures, with a Peyote Stitch

Talented Artist Jennifer Maestre, originally drew inspiration from the sea urchin to create a form with her pencils and from there, it took off.  On her site she says that many different animals and objects stir her creativity, sometimes, she gets inspired by a previous sculpture.  Mistakes can be a fantastically new turn in the forms she constructs.  This is an extract from her site: "To make the pencil sculptures, I take hundreds of pencils, cut them into 1-inch sections, drill a hole in each section (to turn them into beads), sharpen them all and sew them together. The beading technique I rely on most is peyote stitch."
