British Artist David Foster started his working career in Architecture with a love for technical drawing.  He then developed a love for the art of Stippling, which is a way of creating images just using ink dots (using an ink pen).  Varying the concentration of dots creates light and dark shading.  From this, he switched his ink for the nails and the pen for a hammer. (he uses small nails so that he can add more details),  the image above took 26,000 nails to complete.  As well as visual, Foster says his work is very tactile as well, people just can't help touching the pictures when they see them.  Have a look at the video in the Article to see how he does it.
