Abel Puche is the Spanish watercolor artist, that really captivated my interest, with his wonderful paintings. His main interest and I am sure it comes as no surprise, is architecture. What really fascinates me, is the time at which, these painting take place and that is when most people are absent, tucked away in their own homes, resting or sleeping. I know that a lot of people associate night time with danger and fear. But having walked around cities at night, I can tell you, there is something very magical about it. The street lamps act a highlighters, that bring to your attention, things you had never noticed during the day. It's as if everything that is lit, is the protagonist of it's own theatrical show, with its own stage light. A night view of the empty city, is like a blank canvas, you can imagine and populate, in the way you would want it to work.
