A hobby that became so much more...
The artist that goes by the name Wakuneco (which means Frame Cats), started this as a hobby in 2015, after visiting a craft shop and encountering wool needle felting. The artist has a real love for cats and that's why, he/she adopted 3 strays. It started with felting the complete cat, but after finding the face and the features in it, so much more interesting than the rest, the focus became portraits. At the beginning it was just a hobby, a really nice pass time, but after receiving orders, from people that admired the likeness, it became a business. The beauty of these pieces can be seen in the static pictures, but even more clearly, in the animated GIF and the Video below, they really look like the actual cat.
