As well as fantasy, I should have added surrealism, but the title would have been too long.
Artist Marco Mazzoni has been featured before here on DesignStack, thanks to his unconventional art. It carries similar traits to most other forms of art like: color combinations, precision of of execution and wonderfully intricate detailing. What differentiates it: are these scenes that don't quite fit, with our daily experiences of the world as we know it.
With some of these images, it takes a while to see and understand what we are truly looking at. A fine line divides intricate drawings that have to be looked at in detail to interpret, and confusion; where the composition of the drawing is so busy, that it becomes messy and unintelligible.
In my opinion, Mazzoni strikes the right balance; it enables the viewer to read the images, like the pages of a fine book and enjoying the story in the process.
Ps. I gave the images some titles.

This is the perfect example of what I was wring above.
The frog is able to fly, by holding on to the fish that have bubbles containing bees. I don't know what the inspiration was for this piece. I see it as a riddle waiting to be solved. Where the answer, will tell a story of what is happening in the drawing. What is your answer?
