I think that the words to summarise this post are: subtlety in minimalist art.
Malaysian Artist Kay Lee created the drawing on this page; he has graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts. Lee has an interest in a mix of mediums that include: drawing, painting, digital art, all the way to mixed media projects.
The style that Lee utilises in the works below, is called cross hatch. The name is also a description of the style. If you press the images and enlarge them, you will be able to see all of the cross hatched section, that together, create the drawing.
Many different and diverse subjects are explored, that includes: Portraits (human and animal), famous paintings, flowers and more.
The real beauty for me, is the seeming simplicity of the pieces; they are distilled to give a concentrated small sample that packs a real punch. Just like scents are distilled into perfumes; where the resulting liquid is a fraction of the original one, but the potency of the smell is so much more.
Sometimes less, really is more...
Ps. I gave the images some titles.

DeleteThere is something very appealing about minimalism, when it's done right.
I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. 🌿️🌺️🌿️
