Nature shapeshifting or, morphing into different animal forms.
Martijn Schrijver says this about his work: "Adding Sparkles to Nature".
I know these images are achieved with the use of photoshop; that said, we do experience this effect from time to time; like seeing familiar shapes in the clouds (Images in the Sky - Cloud Drawings). People seeing faces in burned toast, rocks, buildings and many other random objects.
I wonder if Schrijver goes through stock photos and adapts one that already looks like an animal or, he does it the other way around; he has an animal in mind and finds a shape it can fit in.
Have a look at the panda waterfall, it's especially good as it's animated.
Ps. I gave the images some titles.
