Latvian Artist Alex Konahin is not only one of the earliest artist we have featured here on DesignStack, but also one of the ones that holds the most posts.
Given the finish Konahin's drawings and considering he is self-taught I can't help being impressed even further. The art in this post is an eclectic mixture, showing off his technique and the various finishes he gives his work.
These drawings have the fluidity and deceptive ease of a doodle and the complexity of a realistic one. Given the intricate patterns, I am assuming there are no reference images, but a fervent imagination and a real talent to execute the design..
