Different views and approaches to portrait drawing.

Mexican artist Luis shows variations in his work, in the way he presents it. Drawings next to the photo they were inspired by. Leaving construction/proportion lines on the drawing, so that you can see how they were achieved. Lastly a couple of variations in style.

Realism does not seem to be the end goal here. Rather a stylised version of the features and the shading that build up to the recognisable look of a person with a dose of art for good measure.

Very interesting drawings, a couple of well-known celebrities; all drawn in pencil.
