Realistic Graphite Portraits and Drawings

The title... I know portraits are drawings, but drawings are not always portraits. There is more than portraits in this post, that is why I added both.

These lovely graphite drawings are the work of Artist Suzan. From finished realistic drawings to finished minimalist ones, are all present here.

When we talk about expressions we refer to portraits, faces and more specifically some parts of it: The eyes, eyebrows, mouths. They are the central means through which we are able to externalise our emotions.

Going down this page, you will see how Suzan does it with conventional portraits and with hidden faces, through the body posture and pose. Once you try, it's quite easy to assign a state of mind or emotions, to that picture. Try it out.
