Traditional Charcoal Portrait Sketching

Charcoal sketches and one ink drawing study. Including a couple of celebrities too.

Architect and Artist Hoda Sharifian creates these warm representations of people. Black & white charcoal and sketch, are a perfect combination for stunning work.

Art is in what the piece tells you, the way it makes you feel. That is as succinctly as I can put it. In general, there isn't one medium or style which stands above the rest. Personally though, you always have a favourite. That changes through time, as your experiences in life enrich your understanding and appreciation of art.

It doesn't matter how far and wide my travels take me, nor how many different types of art I see, I always like to return to black and white portrait sketches. A going back home kind of feeling...
