Imagine replacing colour pencils with colour paper. This is how it starts...
Yulia Brodskaya is a paper artist. She has been featured here on DesignStack many times now. Her paper art doubles as an amazing form of sculpture.
The name of this medium and style is called quilling. Here paper, most often coloured, is moulded in different shapes and glued down to create a detail of a larger image.
As you can see in the pictures below, portraits animals flowers and nature scenes, all lend their form for Brodskaya work her magic with them.
Individual and seemingly inconsequential pieces of paper on their own, join up to form these one of a kind masterpieces.
Pay attention to the intricacies of quilling hiding in plain sight. Look closer and you will get to appreciate them even more.
